I brought my camera out with me and shot whatever caught me eye during SXSW in Austin a few weeks ago. Very loose and fun shooting. Often that's how I end of with my most effective photos. It was an epic week in an awesome city with wonderful people and music. Click the first photo for slideshow format.

Island Creek Oysters at SXSW
To this day, one of my favorite shoots of all time was when I went out with the guys of Island Creek Oysters during a spring tide two years ago. I met them on the docks during the quiet, dark hours before sunrise. We set out onto the fog covered bay. The sun rose. The tide went out, and then back in. I shot the harvest, learned about oyster farming and the men who do it because they love it. It's a magical memory with magical photos to match which can be seen here: http://morganione.blogspot.com/2010/05/island-creek-oysters.html
Much to my pleasant surprise, I ran into CJ and Will at South by Southwest in Austin last week. Here are some shots from the party Island Creek Oysters was hosting. Click the first photo for slideshow format.
CJ and Will shucking.
DJ Ryan Brown.
Old ladies love oysters. And Will's dimples I'm pretty sure.
